As parents, we all want the absolute best foundation for our children so that they grow into happy, functional adults who can contribute positively to their community and society as a whole. A big part of this foundation is school.
Lately, I’ve felt very frustrated with the state of the education system that my children are stuck with. Don’t worry, this post is not going to be a rant about all the issues I’m concerned with. I know many of parents local to me already share my views, so why preach to the choir! Instead, when one of my children comes home feeling frustrated and helpless, I want to be armed with some inspirational quotes to help them see past their current problem and focus on the big picture. So without further adieu, here’s the quotes. There are far better things ahead than any we leave behind. – C.S. Lewis You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. – Dr. Seuss You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think. – Winnie the Pooh We all must make the choice between what is right, and what is easy. – Dumbledore I’m not telling you it’s going to be easy. I’m telling you it’s going to be worth it. – Art Williams When something goes wrong in your life, just yell, “PLOT TWIST,” and move on. – Unknown You are allowed to scream. You are allowed to cry. But, you are not allowed to give up. – Unknown Make yourself proud. – Peter W. Smith Today is your day. Your mountain is waiting so get on your way. – Dr. Seuss If plan A didn’t work, the alphabet has 25 more letters. – Unknown Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together. – Marilyn Monroe It always seems impossible until it’s done. – Nelson Mandela Working hard is important. But there is something that matters even more: believing in yourself. – Harry Potter
